ERIMA sportswear

ERIMA is the oldest existing German sports brand, founded in 1900. At the beginning, ERIMA focused mainly on the sports of gymnastics, gymnastics, athletics and fencing. In 1936, Erick Mak took over the company and changed the name to “R. Wehrstein & Co., Inhaber Erich Mak, Sport- und Berufs-Bekleidung, Reutlingen”. In 1951, the company was renamed and named Erich MaK after its owner. This also gives them a new logo.


Between 1960 and 1972, ERIMA was the official clothing sponsor for German athletes at all four Olympic Games. In the 1970s and 1980s, ERIMA was the clothing sponsor of almost the entire Bundesliga. In addition to football, ERIMA is also active in German handball and volleyball. In 1974, Germany became world champion with ERIMA as clothing sponsor. Due to his age and lack of a successor, Erich Mak sells his ERIMA to adidas. In 1998, Wolfram Mannherz was appointed as the new director and became a 49% ERIMA shareholder. Director Wolfram Mannherz took over all shares from Adidas in 2005, taking full ownership of ERIMA. ERIMA is known for their continuous drive for innovation.
